Knox Cumberland Simplex Net
Knox Cumberland Simplex Net meets weekly at 9:00 pm Eastern. It's purpose is to train amateur radio operators to be of assistance in any emergency, particularly on simplex. The net starts on 147,000- (t100) KD4CWB repeater then moves to 146.550 MHz for simplex check-ins, then moves back to repeater for reports and comments. Keep notes from week to week so you will have an idea of with whom and to where you can communicate via simplex.
Simplex vs Reprater
The first Monday of the month we will start on 147.000- repeater then to 146,550 simplex.
All other weeks will start out on 147.000- repeater but instead of simplex we will move to a 2nd local repeater to complete the net. As this 2nd repeater might change from time to time, its frequency will be announced on the net.
